It's Time To Be A Hero! New Book Alert

It’s official! I’m writing my next book. It's beautiful outside and I’m editing the first section while outlining the last section as a story map on…yes, cards. 

I’m super excited to get not just one, but possibly TWO Star Trek references in there. And I get to do this all outside before jumping on my first call of the day where I get to bring this all to life with a CEO I’m helping to feel and be more super in order to take herself, her org, and her business to the next level. 🤗💪💥

I’ve been told that I don’t gloat enough, don’t share my wins enough, and spend too much time in the shadows. That’s my kryptonite. And it’s also my superpower. I do my best work in the shadows.

I guess you could say that I lead from the shadows? I’m ok with that. Even if it’s weird.

One of my mentors once likened me to a Motown bass player I’ve never heard of. He apparently played bass on almost every Motown recording ever? He was integral to bringing some of the best music ever to life. And most of us have no idea who he is. 

I love being the bass player who lurks in the shadows and helps leaders achieve greatness. 

Even though in my other life as a musician, I'm a lead guitarist 🤷‍♀️.

Which is all part of why I’m writing this book. I want to share what I’ve learned with all of you over the last decade working with some of the most amazing leaders on the planet and last 25 years blazing trails in tech so that you can all unlock your greatness.

The book is tentatively called Story Driven Leadership. And it’s (mostly) *not* about telling stories. It’s about how to be a hero, develop teams of heroes, all the while bringing you and the world along on your journey. One mission as a time.

I think you all will love it as much as I do so far. And I think you’ll love it as much, if not *more* than many of you loved my last book, The User’s Journey.

I bring you this update from my brief interlude in the sunshine of Brooklyn to say hi. And that I can’t wait to share this book with all of you once I’m done.
